Howard Runs / Mileage (All runs start at the stop light at Howard. If starting from the track add ½ mile to the end of each run.
The Path to Lake Elkhorn (9.3 / each additional lap around the lake is 1.9 miles) (Out and Back)
- Follow Path to the end (3.2 miles)
- Keep going straight onto the side walk and make a left onto Dasher Ct (.1 miles)
- Pick the path back up and run around the Lake Elkhorn back to Dasher Ct (2.7 miles)
- Make a right back down to the tunnel and back to Howard (3.2 miles)
- For 4 Miles turn around at Old Montgomery Rd
- For 5 Miles turn around at Iron Bridge
- For 6 Miles turn around at Tunnel at end of Path
- For 7 miles Turn around at the start of the Lake
The Path to Oakland Mills HS (Long) (7.2 Miles) (Loop)
- Follow Path to the end (3.2 miles)
- Keep going straight on the sidewalk (Oakland Mills Rd) till Old Montgomery Rd (1.5 miles)
- Right onto Old Mont. Run on the path past Jeffers Hill Elem to where it dead ends (.8)
- Make a left and follow it back to Howard (1.7)
- For 4 Miles turn around at Old Montgomery Rd
- For 5 Miles turn around at Iron Bridge
- For 6 Miles turn around at Tunnel at end of Path
The Path to Oakland Mills HS (Short Route) (5.7 miles) (Out and Back)
- Follow the path, after the long tunnel make the second Right (Steep uphill) (1.7 miles)
- Continue on path to Oakland Mills (1.2)
- Touch the school turn around and retrace steps (2.9)
- For 5 miles turn around at Oakland Mills Rd
- For 4 miles turn around at Jeffers Hill Elem.
The Path to Lake Front (10miles) (Out and Back)
- Follow the path, after the long tunnel make the second Right (Steep uphill) (1.7 miles)
- Continue on path to Oakland Mills (1.2)
- Make a right onto Thunder Hill Rd and a quick left onto White Acre Rd (.2)
- Run .3 miles, White Acre will end and the Path will pick back up (.3)
- Stay on path, Running through lake front to Little Patuxent Pkwy (1.5)
- Turn around and run back (5.0)
- For 8 miles turn around at start of lake
- For 6 miles turn around at the Thunder Hill / White Acre intersection
- For 5 miles turn around at Oakland Mills Rd
- For 4 miles turn around at Jeffers Hill Elem.
Bendix (Out and back / Lollypop) (8 miles) Add 1.8 miles for each additional loop around the park
- Run on 108 and Make a right at Bendix Rd (After Wendy’s) (1.2)
- Safely make a left onto Edgar Rd (.1)
- Left onto Winding way (turns into W. Hill Rd) (.4)
- Left onto Spring Valley (Turns into Sybert Dr.) (.3)
- Left onto Meadowbrook (.4)
- Run into the park and pick up the path (.7)
- Run a FULL loop (Past tennis courts, bball courts, and around football practice fields (1.8)
- Left back onto Meadowbrook and retrace steps back to Howard (3.1)
- For 4 miles turn around at Spring Valley Rd
- For 6 miles turn around at the entrance of the park
Bendix w/ Red Branch (8.5 Miles)(Out and Back / Lollypop) Add 1.8 miles for each additional loop around the park
- Run on rt 108 (.3)
- Right onto Red Branch, follow the loop to the path at the end (.7)
- Follow path to Edgar Rd (.5)
- Left onto Winding way (turns into W. Hill Rd) (.4)
- Left onto Spring Valley (Turns into Sybert Dr.) (.3)
- Left onto Meadowbrook (.4)
- Run into the park and pick up the path (.7)
- Run a FULL loop (Past tennis courts, bball courts, and around football practice fields) (1.8)
- Left back onto Meadowbrook and retrace steps back to Howard (3.4)
- For 4 turn around at Winding Way Rd
- For 5 turn around at the Lutheran Church on Sybert Rd
- For 6 turn around halfway down Meadowbrook
- For 7 miles turn around 200m after you enter the park
- For 8 miles don’t do the full park loop, don’t run over the bridge to the second half)
Thunder Hill (loop) (4 miles)
- Run on 108 and Make a Left at MellonBrook Rd (After Wendy’s) (1.2)
- Left onto Lightning View Rd (.6)
- Left onto Thunder Hill Rd (.6)
- Right Onto Wintercorn Lane (.8)
- Cut through the fence and make a right onto 108 (.1)
- Back To Howard (.8)
Thunder Hill - Oakland Mills with Red Branch (7.0 Miles) (Loop)
- Run on 108 to Wendys(1.2)
- Left onto MellonBrook Rd (.6)
- Left onto Lightning View Rd (.6)
- Right onto Thunder Hill Rd. (.75)
- Left onto the Path when you get to Oakland Mills (1.3)
- When the path forks go left (through the long tunnel) back to Howard (1.7)
- For 4 miles turn left at Thunder Hill, Right on Wintercorn, through the fence and back to Howard
- For 5.0 miles run Red Branch Once, Turn Left at Thunder Hill
- For 5.5 miles Run Red Branch Twice, Turn left at Thunder Hill
- For 6.3 Miles, don’t run Red Branch
- For 10 miles turn right before OK mills on White Acre pick up the path and run around Lake Front, come back and connect to the path that runs by Okmills and back to Howard.
Long Reach (4.2) (Lollypop)
- Take the path for 200m and make a Left onto High Tor (1.1)
- Left on Tamar Dr (.5)
- Right on Dobbin Lane
- Run down Dobbin and turn left after the baseball field, Left around the pond, left in front of the track and on the path, left back onto Tamar Drive (1.0)
- Follow earlier steps back to Howard (1.6)

- Left onto 108 (.3)
- Left onto 104, Through circle (.4)
- Right onto Glenmar Rd (at the Church) (.9)
- Left onto Rising Sun (.3)
- Right onto 103 (.3)
- Right on Huntinghorn Drive (.8)
- Cross 103 to Rockburn Dr (.6)
- Turn around at Montgomery Rd and retrace steps back (3.5)
